My name is Blayr Barton and I am 20 years old. I grew up surfing in the town of Sandbridge, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I quickly developed a passion for surfing starting at 2 years old. I began competing in surf contests when I was about 8 or 9, and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. Surfing means a lot to me — it is in my blood, and I have a strong drive to win. My goal is to make an impact on the surfing world and eventually reach the Championship Tour. Although I still have room for growth, I truly believe in my ability to succeed. My passion and commitment to winning will always drive me to improve and keep pushing forward.aCCOMPLISHMENTS

World Junior Championships 2025
"Virginia Beach’s Blayr Barton’s been steadily climbing the QS ranks. 76th in 2022, 23rd in 2023, and this year — after winning the ECSC in his hometown — he’s sitting in 8th after seven events. Maybe it’s the O’Neill sticker on his nose, but Barton reminds us a bit of Ian Crane, and he’s got the pop to back it up. Barton, Owen Moss, and Ryan Huckabee all turn 21 in 2025. With all three about to graduate this list and compete on the Challenger Series together, we hope they’ll be celebrating a much more important graduation this time next year."- SURFER Magazine5TH plACE

This video is a reflection of my journey after a knee injury I experienced at a surf competition. It highlights my determination to push through any obstacles and get back in the water, stronger than before. It wasn’t an easy process, but this is a reminder that setbacks don’t define me — how I move forward does.REvive video
